Information for authors and reviewers
The journal Sovremennye problemy distantsionnogo zondirovaniya Zemli iz kosmosa (Sovr. Probl. DZZ Kosm.) organizes uploading and reviewing of manuscripts via User Accounts.
Only manuscripts prepared according to the manuscript preparation rules (in Russian) can be considered for reviewing and publication in Sovr. Probl. DZZ Kosm.
Peer-reviewing is obligatory for all manuscripts received. The reviewers are members of the Editorial Board or external experts recommended by the members. As a rule, one reviewer per manuscript is assigned, however, uncertain cases may demand inviting more reviewers.
A reviewer is asked to evaluate a manuscript no later than within a month upon receiving the notification of a review requested.
If a manuscript review contains comments and suggestions requiring amendments to the manuscript, the manuscript is returned to the author for revision. Amendments to the manuscript are due within a month from the corresponding notification of the author. In the absence of a feedback from the author, after this period the manuscript will be considered withdrawn by the author. The new manuscript version is to be reconsidered in another review round.
In case of disagreement with a reviewer’s opinion, author may forward his/her substantiated view to editors. The manuscript may be assigned to another reviewer or directed for consideration by the Editorial Board.
If reviewer does not recommend a manuscript for publication, the review and manuscript are considered by the Editorial Board. In certain cases the Editorial Board may however accept the manuscript for publication or suggest another round of review.
Manuscripts that gained positive reviews are also considered by the Editorial Board.
Authors are informed about the review results and the decision of the Editorial Board via their User Accounts and by e-mail.
A manuscript approved by reviewer and the Editorial Board can be finally accepted for publication upon signing by the (first) author of the license agreement (in Russian). Authors of Russian citizenship should also provide an official permission to openly publish the manuscript materials.
Publication in Sovr. Probl. DZZ Kosm. is free of charge, no honoraria are paid.
