Analysis and optimization of correspondence algorithms functioning in a nonuniformity sensitivity across the field of TV cameras view
Space Research Institute (IKI) of RAS, 117997 Moscow, 84/32 Profsoyuznaya str
Real TV cameras have unequal sensitivity across the field of view. This inequality affects the correspondence algorithms which are used for establishing of correspondence between images of the same surface points on different cadres. The paper presents various methods to reduce the influence of this factor and a comparison of their effectiveness. The possibility of introducing the normalization of the feature objective function is demonstrated. This normalization allows dis-carding obviously unpromising points. Such selection allows reducing the computational com-plexity of the correspondence process.
Keywords: spacecraft landing, computer vision system, correspondence, inequality of sensitivity across the field of view, the feature objective function
