There are not enough working operative technologies of hydrological forecasts using the information from an artificial
satellite in Russia. One of the reasons is insufficient development in the territorial centers of the forecast of
means and the software, allowing carrying out the operative automated processing of satellite data. These is the example
of using of snowed area counting by remotely sensed data in operative practice of hydrological forecasts of
water flow to water reservoir of Sajano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station.
