Longterm observations indicate air temperature growth in Russia Ecosystems response on air temperature growth is the main aim of the research. Vegetation index NDVI was chosen as an indicator. NOAA and Terra NDVI 1 degree monthly databases were involved in processing. Annual and seasonal values of NDVI for European and Asian parts of Russia were compiled for 1982-2010 period. The same calculations were done for regions inside Russia. Research shows the growth of NDVI both Asian and European parts of Russia last 30 years. Correlation between seasonal air temperature and NDVI was demonstrated for Archangelsk oblast
