Special network receiving complex has designed for relative total ionosphere content measuring. In practice the chain of several receivers are used for 2D ionosphere tomography problem solving.
We developed two generations of the receiving complexes. The first one can receive signals 150,400,1067 MHz ± 300ppm, that covers all frequencies of existing LEO satellites with 150/400(/1067) MHz coherent radiobeacons. This kind of complex has Ethernet network card on-board. It provides data transfer and remote control via built-in web-interface. This version of receiving complex consist of 3-band receiver with corresponding antenna, industrial computer, UPS and network commutator. The second one has same functional characteristics, but it constructed by "all-in-one" principle. There are receiver, computer, and UPS assembled in one case with height of 2U.
The receiving complex has two operation modes: standalone and tomography-chain ones. The tomography -chain mode allows synchronizing all receivers in chain relative to certain satellite throw central control web-server, for, because simultaneous satellite signal reception is critical condition for tomography problem solving. It was shown that the automated technology implemented at the central server with special tomography software in conjunction with the number of network receivers were able to reconstruct the vertical distributions of ionosphere electron density after 5-10 minutes after satellite pass over receivers had finished.
