The capabilities of global navigating satellite systems GPS/ GLONASS for monitoring the Earth ionosphere in real-time mode are considered. The automated complex intended for the ionosphere state monitoring from the Earth's surface is developed on the basis of the ProPak-V3 receiver. The complex allows receiving of the altitude profiles of electron density for all satellites being a visibility range in real-time mode.
Keywords: Earth ionosphere, monitoring, radio translucence method, global navigating systems, ionospheric support module, altitude profile, electron density
