Developing and testing of the method for analyzing the energy characteristics of hazardous mesoscale processes in the atmosphere and hydrosphere

The article presents the method for analyzing the energy characteristics of hazardous mesoscale processes, such as tropical cyclones, using microwave satellite data obtained by AMSR-E. In the work presented the calculations were carried out for several tropical disturbances. Тhe calculation method was more accurately worked out. The factors affecting the analysis performed were determined. The method allows estimating the energy of a tropical cyclone and optimizing the calculations. It is divided into three directions: the study of the evolution of a tropical cyclone, study of the interaction of two or more cyclones, and the calculation of the energy parameters of some or all areas of intertropical convergence zone (ICZ). Thus the method includes elements of both global and local approaches to studying of tropical cyclogenesis.
