Features of remote monitoring distributed systems control and monitoring

Modern remote monitoring systems are complex distributed hardware and software systems including numbers of computers operating in automatic mode and designated hardware for satellite data receiving and processing. Hundreds of interrelated processes run within such systems. The task of effective monitoring and control for them requires special instruments and arrangements. This paper briefly describes designated software components for this task developed in IKI. More attention is paid to the Project Supervision System (SMIS PSS) developed for integration of all the software components for information systems control.
