The GEOSMIS System: Developing Interfaces to Operate Data in Modern Remote Monitoring Systems

The paper describes a universal technology for building interfaces to operate spatial information in remote monitoring systems. The primary goal of the proposed technology is development of interfaces capable of handling large distributed multi-dimensional archives of satellite data and derived products. The technology supports not only data search interfaces, but also developing instruments for data analysis and control. The paper discusses principles and approaches to building a universal technology, describes its primary features, gives examples of implementation in various remote-monitoring systems.
