Optimization multithreshold decoding theory for modern remote earth sensing systems

The articles deals with the most effective error-correction methods which are used in modern communication systems. It is shown the multithreshold decoders (MTD) for self-orthogonal codes are one of the best methods by effectiveness-complexity ratio criteria. The bit-error rate performance for MTDs over AWGN channel with BPSK manipulation is presented. It is shown MTDs and different schemes based on them provide effective decoding for used codes at very high noise ratio. Non-binary MTDs are discussed also. They allow correcting of symbolical errors in digital data. It is shown the symbol-error rate performance of non-binary MTD is at some decimal exponents better than the performance of the best Reed-Solomon codes decoders at simultaneously lower implementation complexity.
