Factor analysis of multi-channel satellite images of the ocean to study the effects of surface roughness

A method of joint processing of remote satellite data is proposed, aimed at identifying and assessing the impact of small-scale surface roughness into the registered ocean color. The method is based on the original nonlinear model of factor analysis. Numerical simulations and processing of satellite data showed the promise of the proposed method for the task and allowed to give first estimates of the "ocean color sensitivity" to the surface wind speed.
