Appeared in recent years the possibility of mass satellite imagery of high spatial resolution to open up entirely new
prospects for the development of methods for monitoring the Earth's surface. One of the key conditions for effective
use of satellite images is their high-precision geo-referencing, which generally can not be achieved only on the basis
of information on the elements of the satellite orbit. Developed in IKI technology allows streaming to snap images
of high spatial resolution based on the correlation method, which enables much more accurate determination of the
geographical position of objects and surfaces to form a time series of satellite data. Using technology developed in
the Information system for remote monitoring of forests (ISDM-The Forest Service) for rapid linking of satellite
images SPOT-HRV/HRVIR confirmed its high efficiency.
