The task complexity on sea ecological assessment, and at first, on identification and monitoring of harmful algal
bloom is leaded to the necessity of the facilities and activity integration of three research institutes of Far-Eastern
Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (Institute for Automation and Control Processes, Institute of Marine Biology,
Pacific Oceanological Institute). Three center equipment was used (Satellite Center, Center of Lidar Methods for
Substance Research, Center for Harmful Algal Bloom and Bio-toxicity Monitoring). The appeared opportunities
allowed organizing the comprehensive in situ and laboratory researches for the task solution. The used method description
and preliminary results are presented.
Keywords: harmful algal bloom, atmosphere sensing with lidars, satellite monitoring, fluorimeter measurements, phytoplankton specie composition
