The article deals with the non-binary multithreshold decoders (qMTD) of self-orthogonal codes in q-ary symmetrical
channel. The performance of qMTD for new codes with parallel coding is presented. The codes enable to work at higher
channel noise. Its discussed application of qMTD for protection of files against errors in data storage systems.
