The short description of the satellite data processing system developed in SRC Planeta is given. The experimental system has been developed for a long-term climatic significant data set (vegetation, snow and ice covers characteristics) creation and analysis, which provide monitoring and climatic variability estimation of the major Russian regions. The examples of the data records and the conjugated analysis methodology of the referred characteristics for the South Federal District of Russian Federation are given
Keywords: region climatic variability, satellite monitoring, satellite information production, specialized digital archives, climatic data set creation and analysis technology
