All-Russia Seminar “Problems in Remote Sensing of the Earth from Space”: Results of 2024 meetings

The results of All-Russia Seminar “Problems in Remote Sensing of the Earth from Space” achieved in 2024 have been summarized. The Seminar has been held since 2021 at Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI RAS). In 2024, a record number of reports were presented at the Seminar, which reflects the organizers’ plans to hold meetings regularly, about once a month. A steady trend has formed towards combining reports into short thematic series enhancing the possibilities for in-depth discussion and debate on various problematic issues. The representation of regions, organizations and institutions of the Russian Federation among invited speakers has expanded. At the same time, a wide audience coverage has been maintained, averaging about 100 participants. A technical upgrade of the Seminar has been carried out, consisting in changing the main platforms for broadcasting and posting video recordings of the meetings. This report includes a summary of the meetings held, a discussion of the main features of the Seminar in 2024 and background information that may be useful for regular and potential participants of the Seminar.
