Building a repository of satellite and ground data for the development of viticulture remote monitoring methods in the Republic of Crimea

The paper discusses issues related to the formation of a satellite and ground data repository as a basis for the development and testing of the methods of viticulture remote monitoring in the Republic of Crimea. The repository has been created in the framework of project "Development of scientific and methodological basis of geo-information technologies for remote monitoring of the vineyards", a cooperative effort of Magarach National Research Institute for Vine and Wine RAS (Magarach) and Space Research Institute RAS (IKI RAS). The structure and content of the repository, its tools and capabilities are described. The repository is based on data archives of ground-based information accumulated at Magarach (borders, grape ages and varieties, planting arrangement, weather conditions, etc.) and long-term series of satellite data stored and continuously updated at IKI-Monitoring Center for Collective Use of IKI RAS. The paper also presents various capabilities in processing and analysis of the repository data that are implemented on the basis of the VEGA-Science system.
