The article discusses the results of research of possibility of space imagery data rejection directly on board a spacecraft. The subject of research is registration and on-board processing of multispectral data on cloud field. The purpose of this paper is to improve the efficiency of remote sensing due to rational use of its resources. The author has developed a new conceptual model of onboard opto-electronic special complex with units of recording and processing of data on cloud field. The onboard complex also provides acquisition of target data with high and ultra high spatial resolution. The unit of cloud field data recording produces spatially coordinated spectral data through the use of beamsplitters based on dichroic mirrors. The processing unit is represented schematically and realizes onboard evaluation of cloudiness over a given area. The article gives a brief description of processing of spectral data on cloud field. The author proposes a method for conducting remote sensing with onboard data rejection stage based on the degree of cloud coverage of an object. The peculiarity of the method is the need for additional actions on determination of processing parameters of cloud field data at the stage of survey planning. The method ensures imaging of a larger number of objects and transmission of higher quality data to ground remote sensing data receiving stations.
Keywords: board special complex, spectral channel, detection and processing blocks, dichroic mirror, spatial matching
