A software system for information processing from scanner-frame imaging systems SC "Canopus-V" and "BKA"

The main feature of "Canopus-V" and "BKA" spacecrafts is the payload, which is the nation's first remote sensing instrument implementing frame-scanner Earth observation principle. With this method a continuous image is formed from a set of overlapping image chips obtained from the individual CCDs. Under the Federal Space Program, the "NormSatB" software complex was developed, which can successfully handle images from remote sensing systems of this type. To obtain output products, the whole range of functionality was implemented in the software complex ranging from primary processing to formation of orthophoto mosaics. Processing of data from these space-based systems ensured a seamless geometrical and brightness combination of image chips. Accuracy of geolocation with the orbital measurements is 52 m (CE90). Performance of the software complex is not less than 106 km2 for the level 3 data processing. The paper details the architecture of the complex, its functional composition, high precision georeferencing algorithm, fast orthorectification algorithm and technical specifications of the "NormSatB" specialized software complex. Technical characteristics of the complex were obtained during flight tests of spacecrafts, as well as during the operation testing of the program at NTs OMZ. While developing "NormSatB", a software technology for quick creation of applications was applied, which is based on the use of universal software platform "ER-Set".
