Prediction of hydrocarbon accumulations within basement of the Pripyat-Dniepr-Donets aulacogen using complex of geophysical and space data

The paper provides the technology elements and some of the results of hydrocarbon accumulations prediction within the basement of the northern slope of the Pripyat-Dniepr-Donets aulacogen. The association of hydrocarbon deposits with areas of increased density of lineaments of gravitational field and digital elevation model created by SRTM satellite image is established. The expediency of use, besides traditional geological and geophysical materials, the results of satellite imagery in the thermal channel of the spectrum is shown. Prediction map showing the location of the most promising sites for new oil and gas deposits discovering is built.
