Silvicultural analysis of the fires effects on the base of space images

The modern state of the farther north-eastern Siberia and the Far East forests (where aerial observation is not carried out at all or is only occasionally) is in dependence from frequent natural fires. In addition the characteristic feature of this area is a mosaic structure of forest lands. In these conditions the space materials are the main sources of objective information on the inflammability characteristic of forest vegetation sites. The dependence of natural fires (2000 year) consequences with distribution of lands categories, a predominance of forest species, forest types and orographic characteristics of terrain is established as a result of researches on the base of space image ETM+ / Landsat 7.
