A new experiment on the microwave radiometric remote sensing of the Earth in L band is carried out by means of specially developed scientific equipment installed on a small satellite MKA FKI № 1. Analysis of the data showed that they are of high quality and suitable for topical treatment to meet the challenges of the scientific program. This paper provides a brief description of scientific equipment and analyzes the quality of the information. The processing of information obtained first estimates the salinity of the oceans and demonstrate the possibility of studying the types of sea ice on passive measurements of radio waves in L band.
