The article describes the history of creation of the joint-stock company «National Center of Space Researches and technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan» and in its composition - the Space Research Institute named after Academician U.M.Sultangazin. Describes some of the scientific and applied research of the institute: monitoring and prevention of oil spills in the water area and coastal zone of the North-Eastern Caspian sea; operational space monitoring of floods and fires; space monitoring of main pipelines; space monitoring of movements of the earth's surface by the method of radar differential interferometry; space monitoring of remote evaluation of the parameters of agricultural production; space monitoring of dust developments in the Central Asia. The article also describes the prospects of development of the infrastructure of satellite data reception in JSC «NCSRT».
