Performances of Meteor-M № 1 MTVZA-GYa and Aqua AMSR-E microwave radiometers, results of the brightness
temperatures TB simulations at radiometer channels and retrieval algorithms for the atmosphere and ocean parameters
are considered. The algorithms were used for the study of tropical cyclones Talas and Roke which were observed
over the Pacific Ocean in September 2011. The measurements at several frequencies by two radiometers provide the
indication of rain bands and cells, the zones with the sharp surface wind gradients, improve temporal resolution as
well as give more accurate determination of the tropical cyclone center and the possibility to trace for the fields of
atmospheric water vapor content, cloud liquid water content and wind speed.
