Software system for processing and storing information, obtained from the star trackers

The basic principles of designing software for the storing and processing of ground-based and telemetric information obtained from BOKZ star trackers are discussed. The stages of the trackers’ life cycle are analyzed from the point of view of the data generated at each of them, the types of information received and the principles of its formation. The schemes of data models used for efficient storage of information obtained both during ground testing and from the spacecraft are given. In conclusion, there are examples of software package practical application for the purposes of analyzing emergency situations, testing new versions of software, planning the trackers’ life cycle and production management. As examples of emergency situations, an anomalous change in the angular distance between the optical axes of two instruments installed on the same spacecraft and the appearance of defective pixels on the photometric matrix of the instrument due to radiation are considered. The analysis of the performance improvement of the new version of the star recognition algorithm without a priori information is an example of testing software.
